Chrysalis is a poetry incubator and social media channel dedicated to the writing and performance of poetry, around an interdisciplinary theme of science, society and human experience. It is a collection of workshops, video series, spoken word poetry readings.
Introspection Universe
Artist
Introspection Universe is a visual poem that is meant to be touched. Made with conductive materials, the poem weaves in and out of images in this series, and the audience chooses to hear the words by touching part of the artwork. The theme explores the vastness of the universe outside and inside us. It uses an origami bird as a metaphor for the banality as well as the eccentricity of the universe. The work was displayed at Shift Space Gallery, Wichita KS in October 2017.
Cloud_fiber
Artist and Collaborator
Cloud_fiber explores the boundaries between the physical and the digital, and between the geometric and organic through colors, textures and shapes. When audience engage with the artwork, a white canvas comes to life with movement and colors. This interactive installation was created by an interdisciplinary team for participation in Project RunAway – a wearable art competition at Wichita State University, where it was awarded the Best-In-Show entry – the highest award in the competition.
